James Blossey

Jim was a 19-year-old Navy seaman on the USS Walton, a destroyer escort, during the Korean War. After the armistice, he served as the station ship Yeoman in Hong Kong. Upon discharge in 1955, he took a degree in communications from Washington State University and went on to a 50-plus-year career as broadcast talent and advertising executive. He is a lifetime member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and served as commander of VFW Post 8870 from 2014 to 2016.
